Philippa of Hainault was born June 24, 1311 in Valenciennes. She was the daughter of William of Hainault Count. She married Edward III King of England, son of Edward II King of England and Isabella of France, on January 24, 1328 in York Minster. She died on August 14, 1369 in Windsor Castle, Windsor, Berkshire, England, at age 58. She was buried in Westminster, Abbey, London, England.
