Edward Prince of Wales was born June 15, 1330 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. He was the son of Edward III King of England and Philippa of Hainault. He married Joan Countess of Kent, daughter of Edmund of Woodstock Earl of Kent and Margaret of Liddell Wake Baroness, on October 10, 1361 in Windsor, England. He died on June 8, 1376 in Westminster, Palace, London, England, at age 45. He was buried in Canterbury, Cathedral, London, England.
