Caroline Matilda was born July 22, 1751 in Leicester House. She was the daughter of Frederick Louis Prince of Wales and Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. She married Christian VII King of Denmark, son of Frederick V King of Denmark and Louisa, on November 8, 1766 in Christiansborg. She died on May 10, 1775 in Celle at age 23. She was buried in Celle.
