Leopold I George of Saxe-Coburg King of Belgium was born December 16, 1790 in Coburg, Germany. He was the son of Francis Frederick of Saxe-Coburg Duke and Augusta Reuss-Ebersdorf Countess. He married Charlotte Augusta Princess, daughter of George IV King of England and Caroline Amelia of Brunswick, on May 2, 1816 in Carlton House, London, England. He married Louise Marie d'Orleans, daughter of Louis Philippe I King of France and Marie Amelie of Bourbon Queen of France, on August 9, 1832 in Compiegne. He died on December 10, 1865 in Laeken, Belgium, at age 74. He was buried in Laeken.
