Leopold II King of Belgium was born April 9, 1835 in Brussels, Belgium. He was the son of Leopold I George of Saxe-Coburg King of Belgium and Louise Marie d'Orleans. He married Maria Henrietta, daughter of Joseph of Austria Archduke, in 1853. He died on December 17, 1909 in Laeken at age 74. He was buried in Laeken.
