Mary Beatrice of Modena was born September 25, 1658. She was the daughter of Alfonso IV d'Este Duke of Modena and Laura Mortinozzi. She married James II King of England, son of Charles I King of England and Henrietta Maria of France, on November 21, 1673 in Dover, England. She died on May 7, 1718 in St. Germain-, en-Laye, France, at age 59. She was buried in Convent of, Chaillot, France.
