Edith (Eadgyth) was the daughter of Godwin Earl of Wessex and Gytha. She married Edward the Confessor King of England, son of Ethelred II the Unready King of Kent and Emma of Normandy, on January 23, 1045. She died on December 18, 1075. She was buried in Westminster, Abbey, London, England.
