Elisabeth of Bavaria was born July 25, 1876 in Possenhofen. She was the daughter of Karl Theodor 'Gackl' and Maria Josepha of Portugal. She married Albert I King of Belgians, son of Philip of Flanders Count and Marie, on October 2, 1900 in Munich, Germany. She died on November 23, 1965 in Chateau de, Stuyvenberg, at age 89. She was buried in Laeken.
