He married Sylvia Marie Pessemier, daughter of Charles Louis Pessemier and Justine Vallez, on November 26, 1886 in Sandy Hook, Pottawatomie County, Kansas.1 He died on December 15, 1928 in St Marys, Pottawatomie County, Kansas, at age 82.

He witnessed the baptism of John Baptiste DeBacker on September 16, 1900 in Immaculate Conception Church, St Marys, Pottawatomie County, Kansas.2
