Elena (Magda) Lupescu was born September 15, 1895 in Jassy. She married Carol II King of Romania, son of Ferdinand I of Hohenzollern- Sigmaringen King of Romania and Marie of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Queen of Romania, on June 3, 1947 in Rio de Janerio, Brazil. She died on June 28, 1977 in Estoril, Portugal, at age 81.
