Luitgard of Vermandois was born about 920. She was the daughter of Herbert II Count de Vermandois. She married William I "Longsword" Count of Normandy, son of Robert I (Rollo) Count of Normandy. She married Theobald I of Blois in 943. She died in 978.
Count Herbert II and his wife had seven children. One of whom was an ancestor of both Katherine and Anna, and one who was an ancestor only of Anna. This daughter of Herbert II of Vermandois and his wife Adele, who was an ancestress of Anna Savage, but not of Katherine Talbot, was Lietgarde of Vermandois.1
