Catharine of Austria was born September 15, 1533. She was the daughter of Ferdinand I Holy Roman Emperor and Anna of Bohemia and Hungary. She died on February 28, 1572 at age 38.
In 1553 she was married to king Sigismund II Augustus of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania.
