Joana Maria Valentina was born October 3, 1898 in Roman, Romania. She was the daughter of Constantine Lambrino Col. and Euphrosine Alcaz. She married Carol II King of Romania, son of Ferdinand I of Hohenzollern- Sigmaringen King of Romania and Marie of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Queen of Romania, on August 31, 1918 in Odessa. She died on March 11, 1953 in Paris, France, at age 54.
