Louis III of Hesse Grand Duke was born 1806. He was the son of Louis II of Hesse and the Rhine Grand Duke and Wilhelmina of Baden Princess. He married Mathilde Princess, daughter of Ludwig I King of Bavaria and Therese of Saxe- Hildburghausen, in 1833. He married Magdalen of Hochstadten Baroness in 1868. He died in 1877.
