Elizabeth of Romania Princess was born October 12, 1894 in Pelesch. She was the daughter of Ferdinand I of Hohenzollern- Sigmaringen King of Romania and Marie of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Queen of Romania. She married George II King of Greece, son of Constantine I King of Greece and Sophie of Prussia Queen of Greece, on February 27, 1921 in Bucharest, Romania. She died on November 14, 1956 in Cannes, France, at age 62.
