Frederica of Mecklenburg- Strelitz Duchess was born March 2, 1778 in Hanover, Germany. She was the daughter of Charles of Mecklenburg- Strelitz Grand Duke and Frederica of Hesse- Darmstadt. She married Ernest Augustus I King of Hanover, son of George III King of England and Sophia Charlotte, on August 29, 1815 in Carlton House, London, England. She married Louis, son of Frederick William II King of Prussia and Frederica of Hesse- Darmstadt, on August 29, 1815 in London, England. She died on June 29, 1841 in Hanover at age 63. She was buried in Herrenhausen.
