Canute II the Great was born about 995. He was the son of Sweyn Forkbeard King of Denmark and Gunhilda. He married Elfgiva of Northampton, daughter of Alfhelm of Northhampton Earl. He married Emma of Normandy, daughter of Richard I the Fearless of Normandy Count and Gunnor of Denmark, on July 2, 1017. He died on November 12, 1035 in Shaftesbury, England. He was buried in Winchester, Cathedral, London, England.
