�����Robert I of Artois was born 1216. He was the son of Louis VIII King of France and Blanche of Castille. He married Matilda of Brabant, daughter of Henri II Duke of Brabant and Maria of Hohenstaufen. He died on February 8, 1250 in al Mansurah, Egypt.
�����He was killed in Egypt during the 7th Crusade with fighting at al Mansurah with the Templars.
