�����Eleanor of Castile was born circa 1244 in Castile.1 She was the daughter of Ferdinand III King of Castile and Jeanne Countess of Ponthieu.1 She married Edward I (Longshanks) King of England, son of Henry III King of England and Eleanor of Provence, in October, 1254 in Santa Maria la Real de Huelgas.1 She died on November 24, 1290 in Herdeby, Near Grantham, Lincolnshire.1 She was buried in Westminster Abbey.1
