�����Jane Bonython was born 1601 in Swarkestone, Derby, England. She married John Bancroft, son of Thomas Bancroft and Rebecca Errington. She married Thomas Barber on October 7, 1640 in Windsor, Connecticut, USA.1 She died on September 10, 1662 in Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut, USA.1
�����Many on-line pedigrees show Jane as the daughter of John Bonython and Eleanor Metcalf; however this does not appear to be correct:
John Bonithan the eld, s. & h. paid Subsidy in Cury, 1 Eliz. Lay : Sub. 87-218. He mar. Eleanor.dau. & coh. of William Myllayton, and had issue five sons and two daughters, viz.
1 Reskimer, a. & h,
2 Richard.
3 Edmond,
4 William.
6 John.
6 Anne, mar. WalterRoscarock,
7 Elizabeth, mar. Hen. Pomeroy of Tregony.2 She and John Bancroft emigrated in April, 1632 from London, England; sailing on the 'James' and arriving 16 June 1632.1
