Eugene Gaume was born in 1855 in Louisville, Stark County, Ohio.1 He was the son of Louis Jeanin-Gaume and Eugenia Cholley. He married Sarah J.
Obituary: "After a long illness Eugene Gaume died at his home in Akron, Friday, at the age of sixty-seven years. He is survived by a son, Elmer, of Akron, and a daughter, Mrs. W. H. Evans of Cleveland, also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Rose Bottomer, of Canton; Frank, of Akron; Mrs. James McDonald, Mrs. Eusebe Lamielle and Emil Gaume, of Louisville, and Louis Gaume, of New York City. Mr. Gaume was a son of the late Louis Gaume of Louisville and his younger years were spent here. Funeral services were held at Akron, Monday morning, and interment was made there."
